Getting there

You can come from uncle tile with hookpush to the east.

Getting around

From map chest room, you can hookstuck/hookpush east in order to get to back of Skull Woods.

You can open big key chest using the compass chest and a STC north. This is useful to duplicate the item.

Where you can go

You can go to Swamp Palace ^(NL) from both the west room from compass chest (hookstuck/hookpush west) or from the central room in Skull Woods connector.

Getting the crystal

Besides killing mothula, you can obtain the crystal from Tower of Hera, using a north STC in pinball room.
