Zelda gently stirred the hot chocolate, which was enough for at least two people, because she was sure that Impa would appear at any moment.

It had taken her much longer in the kitchen than she had planned.

Normally the kitchen was a structured place; though many people scurried through, there was always order.

In these days, order had given way to chaos.

Taking apart all the monsters as instructed took up space.

She watched as various wings were hung for incense and she heard Impa's voice behind her.

"Zelda, those invitations won't write themselves."

Zelda poured the finished cocoa into two cups to discuss the problem of correspondence with the Dark World with Impa on the way to her room.
