Item dashing is a glitch that allows the player to use an item and dash at the same time.
Execution
To perform the glitch, simply press + on the same frame.
Uses and Examples
The following item dashes have known useful applications:

| Cane of Byrna | Using magic more efficiently |

| Magic Cape | Using magic more efficiently and bypassing cooldown |

| Fire Rod | Doing torch rooms quickly | 
| |
| Flute | Bypasses cooldown use and use right away after activation or missing the duck |

| Hammer | Can be used to hammer down rows of pegs quickly. Note: A player must have a sword to not bonk against the pegs. |

| Hookshot | Can be used to arm Superspeed. Arming super speed will also allow quicker pot lifts after pushing the statue in Swamp Palace |  |

| Medallion | Can be used to activate Superspeed. Arming super speed also automatically quickhops |

| Bug Net | Can be used to activate certain crystal switches |  |

| Magic Powder | Quickly powdering rows of bushes for faeries |

| Cane of Somaria | Can be used to punt the Somaria block activate certain crystal switches |
